1. Following the replacement of the gas boiler on a three storey house with pitched roof, some of the the roof tiles around the flue have been disturbed dislodged and the felt underlay has been damaged around the flue area. You can see daylight from inside the roof space. 2. I would require the assessment and extent of the damage caused and the costs involved to replace the missing and damaged felt underlay, to refit the looses roof tiles and to ensure the water tightness of the affected area. 3. The flue terminal; its flushing and its fixings also need to be checked.

We are looking to buy a property and the surveyor has come back with the following: The roof is made up of small clay tiles sitting on a traditional timber structure. There are numerous slipped or missing tiles. The hip tiles to the gable end are in poor condition and many have moved. The ridge tiles appear stable Potential leak into front room with slanted ceiling so where the front of the house slants and joins the other house. We would like to know roughly how much a potential leak would cost and also how much adding the missing tiles/replacing damaged ones please? Can these quotes be separate as the potential leak is more imminent. Thanks
