Our belief has always been to provide a quality building service to people that value good workmanship and who realise that you must pay a sensible fee for it. For many years the building trade has been blighted by low margins, poor workmanship, extended project build times and inefficiency. Much of this has been driven by competition for projects between builders and the desire of clients wanting the best outcome at the lowest price. These are of course counter productive for both the builder and the client. Cheap is not ever good, while tendering low prices is also bad news as the builder may have to go over budget to make even a modest profit. Don't forget that people need to be properly paid, and that choosing the lowest quote will frequently lead to dissatisfaction and strained relationships, project overrun, and poor finishing as the builder may have to start new project to keep afloat.So an honest discussion of your project and a sensible understanding of the costs and time periods are vital to a stress free relationship. And that relationship is one that we value greatly. We consider clients to be friends and often find that new work arises as they recommend us to others.
