Best tiles - kitchen floor

What kind of tile would you recommend for a kitchen (around the cooker & kitchen island)? I have large (possibly composite) tiles in place at the moment but they got badly stained over the years. Is there a particular finish (or a brand) that I should be looking for? I don’t want any pattern, ideally just a plain off white large tiles.
