Overcharged

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 440cdi Hi We had our boiler breakdown in December, we called out a local engineer. He came out 2 days later on a call out basis. The boiler was displaying a D5 error code. The conclusion was that a service was required, which he quoted £280 to complete. When he began to service the boiler, he said that a new ignition was required, then he said it needed a circulation pump and finally an expansion vessel. when he had finished he charged us £2325.00 in total, he also said that Worcester Bosch were at fault because they supplied an incomplete part that he had to remove and replace, so we should claim a days hours back from them. 5 Weeks later the condensate pump packed in, I had this replaced by my insurance. We`ve obviously been massively ripped off by the engineer, so my question is what should have been the cost really? so I can make a claim.
