We are Gas Engineer responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems. Our primary focus is on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of gas appliances, such as boilers, cookers, and central heating systems, as well as the pipelines that deliver gas. Key Responsibilities: Installation: Fitting and installing gas appliances, heating systems, and pipework, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Maintenance: Regularly servicing gas appliances and systems to ensure they function efficiently and safely. This includes cleaning, repairing, and replacing faulty parts. Repairs: Troubleshooting and repairing gas systems and appliances that have malfunctioned. This involves diagnosing faults, replacing defective parts, and testing systems to ensure they are working correctly. Safety Checks: Carrying out gas safety checks and inspections to prevent leaks, fires, or other hazards. Gas Safety Certificates after conducting these checks. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations like gas leaks, system breakdowns, or safety issues, often requiring immediate action to prevent harm. Skills: Knowledge: Expertise in gas systems, heating systems, and the principles of combustion and gas flow. Certifications: Gas Safe Register Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately, particularly in emergency situations. Attention to Detail: Precision in installation, repairs, and safety checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Physical Fitness: The work can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
