My story – ADJ Painting and Decorating I started working as a self-employed painter & Decorator Nov 2021 and I have enjoyed every bit of the challenges that come with being self-employed. Up to this point I spent over 20 years in sales finishing my career as a senior account manager for a telecom's company. It was a sales job cross selling into existing customers as well as always providing a first-class level of service for SMEs to corporate sized business. Early in my career I did work for a couple of decorating firms and had the chance to decorate the 999-call centre up on industrial 41, Newmarket racecourse and a Makro store in Manchester plus many others. Decorating runs in my family and I have always been 1st class with a paint brush. I have decorated a few offices during my sales career one of which (Diva Telecom office in Leeds) she paid a lot of money for a bad job, so I offered to put it right over a weekend. Setting up Darren Mitchell T/a ADJ Painting & Decorating was a bi product of quitting drinking alcohol. The name ADJ stands for After Dry January, which is the name of a group, that I set up on Facebook just over 5 years ago. The idea here was to have something to move over to once dry January finished. I saw something with the name ADJ and wanted to use it to start a new journey which is where I am today. Best thing I did, and my reviews speak for themselves. We deal with both domestic work and commercial. End of Tenancy freshen ups End of Tenancy cleans and small repairs.
