“ Booked Removals for Friday, which was confirmed over the phone for around 2:30pm. Paid deposit as requested. Waited an hour, then phoned to ask where they were. “I’ll call the drivers and ring you back”. Half an hour later, still waiting... left a voicemail, no answer. I sent a text and eventually got a reply an hour later stating that we hadn’t paid the deposit or confirmed the booking. If that’s the case, then why the hell did we discuss it over the phone, and how did I get their bank details in order to transfer the deposit. They’ve blocked my number so I can’t even get in touch to get my money back. Trading standards will be informed.”
