Bathroom - Shower, Wet room, Bath, Toilet, Bidet, Washbasin, Tap, Mixer valve, Booster pump, Sump pump, Macerator
Macerators turn waste solids into liquids using a high speed rotational blade and then pumps the waste into the drainage system in the normal manner rather than relying on gravity. Macerators are needed when fitting a new bathroom and the existing soil and vent pipe is on another wall.
Choose a macerator based on the need for toilets, showers, extra kitchen or utility rooms. When choosing for a toilet, choose if you would like the macerator built in or fitted discreetly behind the toilet. Consider the water consumption needed and ensure macerator can handle the requirements and check the decibels on macerators to not be disturbed by louder macerators at night. Depending on requirements, some macerators can handle waste from toilet, wash basin and shower.

Shower Booster Pumps are a perfect low-cost solution for improving poor pressure showers. Shower pumps pump the water through an impeller (a rotor that produces a sucking force), spinning fast, relying on centrifugal force to discharge the water at a much higher pressure.
Shower Booster Pumps are available with different impeller types, head types and a choice of bar pressure depending on the installation. If the low pressure is hot and cold water a twin impeller is needed. A single impeller pumps just one flow of water. Pumps have a bar rating and higher the rating the higher the pressure. The position of the hot water tank is important as this will also help the pressure. Choose either; 1) Negative – tank located underneath or next to shower, 2) Positive – tank above shower, 3) Universal – deals with both negative and positive so always a good option.

A Shower can be a seperate closed cubicle or over the bath feature that has a hose, spraying a mix of hot and cold water to bathe in. Nowadays most homes feature a type of shower from fancy gadget filled showers to eco-friendly showers that limit the amount of water used.
A Shower comprises of the shower tray, enclosure (cubicle or over the bath), shower head and which type of shower suits you. The different types of showers are;
Electric – heat water on demand so you never run out of hot water or have wasted heat but are bulky to fit.
Mixer – mixes the hot and cold water as it leaves the showerhead.
Thermostatic – keep constant temperatures even when a toilet is flushed / other water called for. These are perfect when children or vulnerable people are showering as you won’t run a risk of scaling yourself.
Eco – both mixer and electric, limit the water flow for an eco-friendly water reduction shower.
Digital – feature a control panel outside of the shower that set the temperature and can turn the shower on in preparation for you getting in.
