Shower pull cord switch not eorking

I have recently had an electricity survey. I have three down lighters which were poorly fitted in the kitchen and understand that it’s best to have them terminated. One of the circuits has a loose connection, per the electricians certificate. It needs to be rectified and I am told it was probably a loose wire and a plug socket

My boiler timer does not work and reckon it's overheated. Think that a replacement of fuse of the timer should solve the problem. The boiler itself has no problem.
